Three stunners secure victory in Genova

Three fantastic strikes saw a dominant Juventus claim a 3-1 Serie A victory over Genoa at the Marassi on Tuesday evening. Once again, all the goals came in the second half, where Dybala, Ronaldo and Douglas Costa all found the back of the net in spectacular style.

JUVE DOMINANT, PERIN STRONG

The first efforts of the game came through a series of long rangers, where Bernardeschi and Ronaldo both attempted efforts from range, which saw Perin push away the Portuguese’s effort. A penalty appeal was also waved away de Ligt went down in the box, before a big chance fell to Rabiot just after the half hour mark. Cuadrado delivered in a cross into the box: the Frenchman got onto the end of it and headed it towards goal, but it went straight into the goalkeeper’s hands. Ronaldo then threatened again with a powerful effort from a tight angle, that saw Perin parry it away from the goal to keep the scoreline level as the teams went into the break.

LA JOYA & RONALDO STUNNERS!

Juventus needed just five minutes to break the deadlock in the second half: Cuadrado fed the ball through to Dybala, who was on the edge of the box. He burst in, dribbled past two defenders and fired in on his left foot to leave Perin rooted to the spot. Six minutes later, Ronaldo turned the scoreline to 2-0 with a sublime solo effort. Juventus worked the ball forward on a break, he charged forward and fired in a missile that rattled the back of the next from 20-yards out.

DOUGLAS COSTA WORLDIE

Douglas Costa was brought on in place of Bernardeschi in the 65th minute, and he needed less than 10 minutes to make an impact. The Brazilian received the ball on the edge of the box, dragged it wide and fired in a curling effort into the top right corner. Genoa pulled one back shortly after when Pinamonti smashed it past Szczesny from a tight angle. Higuain and Ramsey came on for Ronaldo and Pjanic respectively, while Dybala and Rabiot made way for Matuidi and Olivieri. Juventus continued to conduct play, and one of their final attempts fell to Higuain, whose shot was denied by Perin.
