Top spots to preserve for Juve young guns

Victors at Carpi last weekend by two goals to one and runaway leaders at the top of the Campionato Nazionale Girone A, there seems very little capable of stopping Fabio Grosso’s Primavera young guns at the moment.

That dogged win in Emilia Romagna, their 16th in 19 league outings, extended their advantage over second-placed Virtus Entella – who face a testing home tie with fourth-placed Sassuolo – to seven points, a gap they will no doubt be looking to extend as they host mid-table Sampdoria on Saturday afternoon (13.00 CET kick-off).

Also looking to protect their place at the summit are Davide Cei’s U17 side, four clear themselves of city rivals Torino despite slipping to a 1-0 defeat away at Novara four days ago.

With lowly Pro Vercelli the visitors to Vinovo this coming Sunday (15.00 kick-off), Cei’s charges will fancy themselves to get back on track at the first time of asking.

Last but not least, in the only away fixture of the weekend, Felice Tufano’s U15s will be making the short journey south to Genoa to take on the Rossoblu (also 15.00 CET), looking to bounce back themselves from a Derby 3-1 defeat to il Toro last weekend.
