Under 23 and Under 19: Brambilla and Montero are our new coaches

Two important additions. The Under 23 and Under 19 teams for next season will be lead by Massimo Brambilla and Paolo Montero respectively. A new beginning for both, with common goals: to carry out a forward-looking project and to continue the development of our young Bianconeri.

MASSIMO BRAMBILLA

Brambilla joins Juventus after seven years in the ranks of the Atalanta youth sector.

Born in 1973, from Vimercate, his coaching career was preceded by his journey as a footballer, specifically a midfielder, where he turned out for several teams across Italy, including Monza, Torino, Siena – with whom he won the first historic promotion in Serie A - Cagliari and Mantova, to name a few.

He then ended his career at Pergocrema and it was from there that his adventure on the bench began, as a coach in the Giovanissimi Nazionali category. From 2011 to 2015 he moved to the head of the Novara youth sector (Allievi Nazionali and Giovanissimi Nazionali), before joining Atalanta where he coached the Under 17 team for two seasons, before starting a cycle with the Primavera side which lasted five years and led him to win two Scudetti and two Italian Super Cups.

Now the move to Juventus and professionalism with a very young group, like that of the Under 23s, with whom to work and develop. A new adventure for Massimo Brambilla is upon us and we are happy to start it together.

Welcome, Mister, and good luck!

PAOLO MONTERO

Paolo Montero makes a very welcome return to Turin. After his winning experience at Juventus as a player between the end of the nineties and the early 2000s, he now returns as the Primavera coach, joining the Club for the next season.

Born in Montevideo in 1971, he began his career as a footballer in Peñarol, Uruguay, before arriving in Italy, at Atalanta. After four seasons in Bergamo, he signed for Juventus, which became his home for nine successful years, before ending his career in 2007 exactly where it began, in Peñarol, after a brief spell at San Lorenzo.

And it is precisely from the Montevideo club that Paolo embarked on his path as a manager, starting with the youth academy before taking up the position as coach of the First Team. After a few years spent between Uruguay (Peñarol) and Argentina (Boca Unidos and Rosario Central), a new opportunity presented itself in Italy, specifically at Sambenedettese. Montero was immediately put to the test with the competitive Serie C championship where he has twice led the team from Marche to compete for promotion to Serie B through the play-offs.

After that Italian experience ended, he returned to Argentina in 2021, to another team that he got to know as a player: San Lorenzo.

And now, the call of the Juventus Under 19 team, where he will certainly be able to bring his experience and work ethic, and help the young players learn his football ideas and we, on this journey, can't wait to start, together!

Welcome back, Mister, and good luck!
