World Cup: Bianconeri derby highlights huge Saturday

The group stage is over at the FIFA World Cup and half of the teams have been eliminated as we've reached the final 16.

Six of the 16 teams left feature Juventus players with eight Bianconeri still alive in their quest for the World Cup.

Saturday, four of those eight players will be in action on a must-see round of 16 doubleheader.

FRANCE vs ARGENTINA

Perhaps the most intriguing match of the entire round of 16 is the very first one as France and Argentina will meet in a matchup of former World Cup winning countries. Kick-off is set for 16.00 CEST at the Kazan Arena.

Blaise Matuidi and France enter the match having advanced from the group stage comfortably with two wins and a draw. Matuidi featured in two of the three matches for Les Blues who have scored three goals and allowed one.

Gonzalo Higuain, Paulo Dybala and Argentina had a much more difficult time of things and were five minutes from elimination before Marcos Rojo scored an 86th minute winner against Nigeria to secure qualification at the last gasp. Higuain has played 132 minutes featuring in all three matches for Argentina while Dybala has featured 22 minutes in one match.

URUGUAY FACE A TRICKY TEST

It's been a breakout World Cup for Rodrigo Bentancur who has started all three matches for Uruguay playing 243 minutes as they won all three of their matches with five goals scored and zero allowed.

It will be a very tricky test for them on Saturday night at 20.00 CEST at the Olimpic Stadium in Sochi as they'll face Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal in an enthralling encounter.

Good luck to all our Bianconeri!
