The Icelandic star, who is the only player to be named Icelandic Sportsperson of the Year on two occasions, joins the club from UEFA Champions League winning-side Lyon. At the age of 31, Sara arrives in Turin having gained incredible experience with Malmö – now known as Rosengard - (nine titles won), Wolfsburg (eight titles won), and Lyon (four titles, which includes two UWCL trophies).

Her class and incredible work ethic in midfield have earned her over 130 appearances with Iceland’s National Team, along with seven Icelandic Footballer of the Year awards, and this summer, she will be looking to go all the way, as she takes part in the UEFA Women’s Euros with her team less than eight months after giving birth to her son.
