Scudetto 1905-06

Juventus celebrated their first year in the black and white stripes taken from Notts County by achieving a first ever Scudetto title. Durante took position between the posts. Armano and Mazzia were full backs, Walty, Goccione and Diment in the middle and Barberis, Varetti, Forlano, Squire and Donna were the forwards.

After topping the Piemontese group, Juve beat Milanese twice and then drew against Genoa. The final standings saw Juventus narrowly pip the Ligurian side to the Champions of Italy crown. There was no shield added to the shirt to mark the achievement but the Federation did award the club a commemorative plaque. The president and sponsor at the time was Alfred Dick from Switzerland, who had helped assemble a strong squad thanks to the use of many foreign players who were employed in his textiles business.
