COOKIE AND TRACKING technologies POLICY

On the website www.juventus.com, on all subdomains of juventus.com and, where applicable, in Juventus’ digital and mobile applications (jointly, the “Site and Applications”), cookies and other similar technologies are used, such as SDKs, pixels, device identifiers, advertising IDs, scripts, local storage and similar tools. This Cookie and Tracking Technologies Policy is intended to explain and describe how such tools work, distinguishing, where necessary, between browsing through a web browser and using the Applications. This notice is also provided in accordance with applicable personal data protection laws and the guidance issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority.

WHAT ARE COOKIES

Cookies are small text files that websites visited by the user send to the browser on the user’s electronic device (computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.), where they are stored and then transmitted back to the same websites at the user’s next visit. Thanks to cookies, the Site can remember actions and preferences expressed by the user during online browsing, such as login data, selected language or other settings. In the Applications, similar functions may be performed by SDKs, device identifiers, advertising IDs, local storage, analytics/app analytics tools, push-notification technologies and other technical or tracking tools integrated into the digital services.

In addition to cookies, the Site and Applications may also use “similar technologies” present on, or integrated into, the digital services (e.g., pixel tags, web beacons, SDKs, device identifiers, advertising IDs, scripts, analytics/app analytics tools, push-notification technologies and local storage technologies such as local storage) that allow information to be collected from, or accessed on, the user’s device and/or in relation to the user’s browsing or usage activity. Depending on the circumstances, such information may qualify as personal data under the GDPR. Data collected through tracking pixels contained in newsletters, commercial and promotional communications, transactional, service and security communications sent by Juventus is instead governed by the Privacy Policy.

WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES USED ON THE SITE AND IN THE APPLICATIONS EXIST

There are different types of cookies and similar technologies. In general, cookies may be installed by the website visited by the user (first-party cookies) or by different domains (third-party cookies), for example when the Site contains content hosted on different servers. In the Applications, equivalent technologies may be used, such as SDKs, device identifiers, advertising IDs, analytics/app analytics tools, local storage and third-party components integrated into the Application.

In the “Manage Cookies/Cookie settings” panel and/or in any preference-management tools available in the Applications, the categories of cookies and similar technologies actually used are presented with operational names, such as strictly necessary cookies, performance cookies, functional cookies, targeted advertising cookies and social media cookies, or technically equivalent categories for the Applications. Depending on their purpose and configuration, these categories should be understood as corresponding to the legal macro-categories of technical cookies, analytics cookies and profiling/marketing cookies. In particular, strictly necessary cookies and equivalent technologies are needed to enable browsing, the functioning of the Application and the provision of the requested services; performance cookies and analytics/app analytics tools may be used to measure and improve the performance of the Site and Applications; functional cookies and equivalent technologies allow the provision of advanced and personalised features; targeted advertising cookies, advertising IDs and similar technologies are used to display more relevant content and advertisements; and social media cookies and integrated social tools may allow interaction with social platforms or tracking by the relevant third-party providers. Depending on their duration, cookies are also classified as persistent cookies (stored until expiry or deletion) and session cookies (deleted when the browser is closed). In the Applications, equivalent technologies may remain active according to the technical settings of the Application, the device or the relevant provider.

MANAGING PREFERENCES AND WHETHER PROVIDING DATA IS MANDATORY

When you first access any page of the Site, a banner is displayed containing a short notice about the cookies and similar technologies used on the Site, as well as information on the operational categories of cookies and technologies used, as shown in the “Manage Cookies/Cookie settings” panel, and on the third parties that may process data through the banner/panel. In the Applications, where non-strictly necessary technologies are used, information and preferences may be collected through information screens, privacy panels, Application settings, device settings or other equivalent tools made available to the user. Alternatively, you may refuse non-necessary cookies and technologies, where the relevant “Reject” command or equivalent is available, or close the banner via the “X” icon; in such case, browsing or use of the service will continue without the installation or activation of non-necessary cookies/technologies, with only strictly necessary cookies and equivalent technologies remaining active and, where configured so as not to identify the user and/or in compliance with the conditions for being treated as technical cookies, any performance/analytics cookies or equivalent analytics/app analytics tools. HOW TO CHANGE BROWSER, APPLICATION AND DEVICE SETTINGS

For the Applications, you may also manage your preferences, where available, through the Application settings, the privacy settings of your device, the settings relating to advertising identifiers, push notifications and tracking tools permitted by the operating system.
