Football is life
“Football is life.”
Fabrizio says it calmly, with the tone of someone who has understood that certain simple phrases can contain everything.
For him, football was a door that opened again.
A way to start moving, to feel the rhythm of his days once more, to rebuild a balance made of commitment and relationships.
“I discovered Juventus One on social media. I saw the images of the guys and I told myself: why not? I want to try too.”
That spontaneous gesture — a message sent almost out of curiosity — became the beginning of a new journey.
He found a group, a place where he felt welcomed and part of something.
“The pitch was my lifeline. It taught me how to breathe again, to give myself direction.”
Since then, his life has changed naturally.
Today Fabrizio works as a transporter, a job he likes because it combines autonomy and responsibility.
He has a stable relationship with a partner who supports and accompanies him, and in their home, normality has become the greatest achievement: a daily life made of work, small gestures, affection, balance.
“I’ve found a peace I never had before. Now I have a family, some kids I look after as if they were my own. That’s my team too.”
He can’t always join matches or training sessions, because his work shifts often keep him on the road.
But his bond with Juventus One remains strong, steady, part of his identity.
“Football has given me so much. Not just the chance to play, but the courage to build my life. Even when I’m not on the pitch, I still feel part of the group.”
His story has also struck the educators and coaches who have supported him:
seeing a young man take his life back, build a job, a home, a relationship, is proof that sport truly can change people.
And those who accompany this journey grow along with them.
“This project,” they often say, “teaches us to look at the kids in a different way. To see them for who they are, not for what they lack.”
Today Fabrizio no longer chases results or trophies: he lives football as a deep bond, one that continues even off the pitch.
Every time he comes back to training, he brings a calm smile — the smile of someone who has found his place in the world.
“For me, football is still life. It’s where everything began, and it’s what taught me how to build the rest.”
