Football, a New Family
Some lives begin again on a football pitch.
For Gianluca, football wasn’t just a game. It was a way to find himself, to put the pieces back together, to feel part of something once more.
His story begins in 2011, when he joined the Pinerolo FD group, the experience that came before Juventus One. He was one of the first to believe in the project, thanks to the educators who supported him in the community and encouraged him to join the team.
“At the beginning, I struggled to relate to others. Then, thanks to this journey, I learned how to be with people, to speak, to listen. The group changed me,” he says.
On the pitch he found rules, friendships and trust.
Off the pitch, he built an independent and stable life.
Today he works as a warehouse operator, a job he obtained with the help of an educator and secured with a permanent contract.
“At first everything was new, but I committed myself and learned a lot. I realized how important it is to be reliable, how much other people’s trust matters.”
In football as in work, Gianluca found the same language: collaboration, commitment, responsibility.
“Wearing the Juventus jersey was an overwhelming emotion. I never thought I’d play for a team like this. It’s like stepping into a circle that widens every time you meet someone new.”
For Gianluca, Juventus One is much more than a team. It is a family built over time, through consistency and relationships.
It is the place where he learned to share, to believe in others and in himself.
“Here I understood that everyone can add something to someone else’s life. And that is, for me, the meaning of a team.”
