Every Step, One More Breath
There is a mountain above Piossasco that Simone knows well.
It’s Monte San Giorgio, a place that for him is not just an outing but a happy memory, full of fresh air and silence.
“I often go back there with my dad,” he says.
They walk together, step after step, until they can see the plain from above.
It’s one of the moments when Simone feels truly free: up there, every breath feels lighter, and every step feels like an achievement.
Simone has been playing with Juventus One since 2017.
He was eighteen when that unexpected call arrived: they had seen him playing five-a-side with his friends, and from that day on, his life took a new direction.
Training in the cold, in the rain, in the summer heat — always with the same desire to give everything.
“When the championship starts,” he says, “I can’t wait to get back on the pitch with my teammates.”
Football, for him, has been a way to regain confidence and rhythm.
He grew up in a complicated family, with two sisters and many absences that were hard to fill.
There was a time when he moved slowly, too slowly, almost as if trying to hide from the world.
Then he discovered that running, training, breathing deeply was the path to feeling better — and to learning not to be afraid.
Today he works in a nursery school, and soon he will be transferred to a primary school in Piossasco.
He speaks about the children with a contagious affection: “They make me smile every day,” he says.
With Juventus One, he has lived powerful emotions: the first victory in Milan, then the title in Coverciano.
“I remember the semi-final against Napoli,” he recalls. “The joy of reaching the final, of hugging my teammates — it’s something you never forget.”
His dream is simple and profound: to win again, to keep improving, to keep climbing.
Just like on Monte San Giorgio, in life every climb is one more step toward serenity.
Every step, a breath.
Every breath, an achievement.
