Despite the Bianconeri's 2-1 reverse to Verona last night, the game saw yet another impressive record set by Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo's goal in the 65th minute saw him surpass David Trezeguet's nine-consecutive goal Serie A streak from the 2005/06 season, as CR7 made it 10 in a row.

The streak has seen Ronaldo net against: Sassuolo, Lazio, Udinese, Sampdoria, Cagliari, Roma, Parma, Napoli, Fiorentina and now Verona, scoring a total of 15 goals. Ronaldo is just one goal away from equalling Gabriel Batistuta and Fabio Quagliarella's joint-record of 11 in a row from the 1994/95 and 2018/19 seasons respectively.

In addition, Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player to have scored 20+ goals in each of the last 11 campaigns in the Top Five European Leagues, with at least five goals more than any other player since December.
