Coach Massimiliano Allegri, from the Camping World Stadium in Orlando which will host Juventus-Real Madrid on Wednesday evening, 2 August, answered questions from journalists gathered at the pre-match press conference, ahead of the Bianconeri's last fixture on the 2023 Juventus Summer Tour.
THE MATCH
“It's nice to be here and play against the most prestigious club in the world. It will be a great test in view of the new season, we know that facing Real is a great opportunity. These great games in America are a great show, but also help us to better prepare for the season. Dušan Vlahović has trained with the team over the last two days and will be available. I'll be happy to be able to field him for a bit of the match. Paul Pogba, on the other hand, worked partically with the team in training. I don't know when he'll be back, it's unlikely he'll be there for the first match of the season, but we all hope to have him back as soon as possible.
LOOKING AHEAD
"We will continue with the same system," continued the Coach. "We need to improve our physical condition and also in terms of play to be ready for the start of the championship. We had some difficult moments, but the lads were very good. The group has been able to consolidate in difficulties, now we will have to be good at transforming difficulties into opportunities. The exclusion from the cups? We have closed this chapter that we have dragged on for a year, now we will evaluate the number of players in the squad."
