Juventus are away to Venezia for Matchday 17 of the Serie A campaign, with the Bianconeri looking to make it four victories in a row in all competitions.

Ahead of Saturday evening’s match, scheduled to kick off at 18h00 CET at the Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo, coach Massimiliano Allegri shared his thoughts with the media in the pre-match press conference.

THE MATCH

"Our next step is tomorrow's match: it's a complicated one. Venezia scores a lot at home, they play and take risks, and they have to recover from a bad defeat, so they will look to make an impression. We will have to match them and show them respect.

"Only myself and Giorgio Chiellini have played in Venice before. It's a strange pitch to play on. If you don't play with the right application, you risk getting hurt. They beat Fiorentina, scored many goals and played well, in a proactive way."

PLAYER UPDATES

"Mattia De Sciglio is fine, whilst Weston McKennie will be back next week. Aaron Ramsey is still out, and Arthur arrived late for training today, and so will not be called up.

“Federico Bernardeschi paradoxically plays better on the left. Paulo Dybala is fine, he's available for tomorrow and ready to play. We're not considering loaning out Kaio Jorge, he will find his space and play.

"Luca Pellegrini has improved a lot and has many merits: he wanted to stay here, he is still improving and can still grow, he is an excellent alternative to Alex Sandro."

TEAM FORM

"We are under performing in terms of scoring, we need to be more lucid and clinical. Tomorrow, if we misinterpret the game, we will be taking a big risk, but the boys have understood its importance.

"Finishing in first place in our Champions League group gave us great satisfaction, but right now we can only think about Serie A and to improve our position in the table."
