One day until the Derby d’Italia, at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday, with kick-off at 20h45 CEST. Massimilano Allegri looked forward to the showdown with Juve’s historic rivals in the pre-match press conference.

MATCH READY

“It’s not easy to say who is favourite in the Derby d’Italia. We have been following our path steadily, and we are ready to face Inter. After a draw in Serie A and a defeat in the Italian Super Cup, maybe it’s our turn to win this fixture.”

“Inter, together with Milan and Napoli, are one of three candidates for the scudetto. As for Juventus, we need to keep our focus on fourth place. That’s the position we are in right now but Atalanta are breathing down our necks. Our aim is to qualify for the Champions League next season.”

TEAM NEWS

“The squad is in good shape. Giorgio Chiellini is back available, as are Denis Zakaria and Alex Sandro, while Leonardo Bonucci will make it on the bench."

“Tomorrow, Paulo Dybala will play from kick-off, as will Chiellini and Alex Sandro. Federico Bernardeschi is also available and he could also be a starter tomorrow as could Zakaria."

“I have four midfielders all fully fit and eager to play. Whoever misses out, will take a place on the bench and could become important during the match.”

CLUB DIRECTION

“I am in line with the plan set out by the club. When decisions are made, they are made together."

“John Elkann’s words yesterday underlined how important Juvenus is to the family. The vision is to build a project that has Juventus winning again in as little time as possible. Next season we need to be ready from the off to compete at the highest level, something we weren’t ready to do this season.”

FULL HOUSE

“Juve-Inter was the last match before the lockdown for Covid-19, played behind closed doors. Tomorrow it will be played with the capacity once again back to 100%."

“It is a pleasure that Carlos Tevez will be at the match tomorrow. I have been lucky to have coached a lot of world class players, and when I see them again I get emotional. It’s great to have the chance to be able to catch up with Carlos tomorrow.”
