ALLEGRI: "Our approach is important"

Salernitana-Juventus tomorrow evening at the Arechi stadium wraps up the action of Serie A Matchday 21.

Today Massimiliano Allegri faced the press in the customary pre-match conference and admitted that the match in Salerno will be far from easy, "Tomorrow's match will be complicated. Their fans are passionate, [Davide] Nicola is doing a great job there and they are coming off a victory in Lecce.

"For us, the important thing is to face the match with the right approach. We must put ourselves on a par with Salernitana. We have to get back on track and set about catching the teams ahead of us and start climbing the table."

TEAM NEWS

The coach also considered the current situation regarding the fitness and form of those in his squad, adding "All the players are available apart from [Leonardo] Bonucci who has the flu, [Paul] Pogba who is recovering and [Leandro] Paredes who has a niggle.

"Dušan [Vlahović] has recovered well, I think he is much better physically. In my opinion he's lost weight but is more powerful than before. However, leaving [Moise] Kean out is getting harder and harder for me. He has improved a lot technically and physically. I think he is a very important player for our team."

"[Nicolò] Fagioli has grown a lot, too. When many players were missing, he did well and in general, our young players have brought enthusiasm and technique. I think everyone has contributed to the cause and they're all coming on well."

YOUTH ACADEMY

"[Hans] Nicolussi Caviglia was unlucky due to the problems he had with his knee. He is proving his worth at Salernitana and I am very pleased. But there are many very good young players in our academy, the club has done an excellent job with the youth sector. It is possible that in the next few years many will be part of the First Team."

LEAGUE STANDINGS

The coach also touched on the side's mid-table position and the consequences on setting team goals, "Right now the fact is that we have been deducted 15 points and we have to think about reaching the 40-point mark. It's ironic, but we need to think about this objective first and then take it step by step.

"After all, it's a long season and we have to continue our journey. We are in the semi-final of the Coppa Italia and our aim is to progress in the Europa League as well.

"We must do our talking on the field, though, without any alibis."
