A few days ago she was welcomed back into the group as she started working towards full fitness, aiming for a return to action on the pitch, and the month of March has even more positive news for Amanda Nildén and for us - she has renewed her contract until 30 June 2025!
Amanda has put pen to paper on the renewal that ties her future to Juve. Therefore, the story between the Swedish defender and Juventus Women, which began in the summer of 2021, continues. The 24-year-old can now put four difficult months behind her, caused by to the fracture of the fifth metatarsal of her left foot on October 30 - a fracture that pressed pause on what had been an exhilarating season until that moment.
She had become an essential element in the team - her 14 appearances and three goals only partially capture the extent of her influence over the first months of her second year in the black and white stripes. Behind the numbers is a constant improvement and a spirit of sacrifice, which due to the team's needs led her to leave her comfort zone by moving to the opposite flank without batting an eyelid, often with decisive results.
All this after a debut season in which she won everything on the domestic scene, with 33 appearances collected and four goals scored. One goal in particular was extremely important, in the Supecoppa semi-final against Sassuolo. Just one of many moments that contributed to a triumphant year.
