The Juventus Women’s First Team brought a good week to an end with another win, coming from a goal behind in Biella to beat Napoli 2-1 on Serie A Women Matchday 9.

THE MATCH REPORT

With Napoli’s visit to Biella being the Bianconere’s last home league game of the calendar year, there was a real desire to bow out on a high on a clear and sunny Saturday afternoon. But it was a tricky start, with Napoli looking firm at the back and making things tough for their hosts to create any clear-cut chances.

Barbara Bonansea forced a shot in the 24th minute, but it was Napoli who had the better of the opportunities early on. Mali Troan was threatening, as was Kinga Kozak, and it was the latter who opened the scoring for the Partenopee before the break.

Massimiliano Canzi made as many as three changes at half-time, with Estela Carbonell, Tatiana Pinto and Paulina Krumbiegel coming off the bench. Carbonell had an immediate impact, as her cross teed up Chiara Beccari for a fine equaliser within a minute of the restart.

Chances came at both ends ones things had been levelled, but the Bianconere were able to get into space more regularly than they had managed to in the first half.

With a draw starting to look unavoidable, Krumbiegel delivered from wide and the ball, via a ricochet, fell to Michela Cambiaghi. She took a good touch and reacted perfectly to volley across goal and in to put the Bianconere ahead, sealing three important points.
