The Juventus Men’s First Team played out a goalless draw with Milan at the Allianz Stadium on Serie A Matchday 6.
THE REPORT
In a tense opening 30 minutes there were few chances to report, with both sides focused on keeping their opposition at bay and staying solid defensively. A couple of half-chances fell the way of Weston McKennie around the penalty area, but he was shut out both times by Mike Maignan in goal.
A chance then fell to Federico Gatti, after a Manuel Locatelli free-kick, but Mike Maignan kept him out.
At the other end, Michele Di Gregorio denied Santiago Gimenez, and he was later denied a headed effort. At the other end, an attempt from outside the box came from Pierre Kalulu.
The second half saw things step up a level, and Juventus almost led immediately. Andrea Cambiaso crossed to Gatti for the biggest chance of the game, but Maignan was on hand to somehow keep him out from close range.
Moments later, Milan had a penalty but Christian Pulisic put it over the crossbar.
Late on, Lois Openda sought a way through with no avail, shooting wide of Maignan’s goal, before Di Gregorio was again called into action to keep out Rafael Leao.
There were to be no goals, then, and the points were shared at the Allianz Stadium.
