Five Juventus players represented their respective national sides on Wednesday night as the international summer schedule got under way across Europe and South America.

Four of them of course were wearing blue jerseys with Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini and Claudio Marchisio all turning out in Italy's 3-0 win over Uruguay in Nice. Gianluigi Buffon was an unused substitution.

On an otherwise positive night for the Azzurri - who coasted to victory courtesy of an own goal from Jose Gimenez and further strikes from Eder and Daniele de Rossi - midfielder Marchisio limped out of the action on 19 minutes with a muscle problem.

Gian Piero Ventura's men are back in action on Sunday 11 June when they take on Leichtenstein in 2018 World Cup Qualifying at Udinese's Dacia Arena.

Keeping it Italian, Juve's Rolando Mandragora will take to the field this afternoon with a place in U20 World Cup final at stake; England provide the opposition in South Korea at 13.00 CEST.

Meanwhile in Murcia, Juan Cuadrado's Colombia played out an entertaining 2-2 draw with Spain; the winger featuring for 89 munutes before being subbed late on.

A further five Bianconeri will be in action on Friday: Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain's Argentina face Alex Sandro's Brazil in Melbourne at 12.05 before Stephan Lichtsteiner's Switzerland meet the Faroe Islands and Miralem Pjanic's Bosnia host Greece.
