A self-confessed lover of the Italian game, the veteran Frenchman has slotted seamlessly into the Juve backline in the past two seasons and his consistency, focus and consummate professionalism have ensured that this weekend's festivities are more than deserved.
Picking up winners' medals wherever he has been, perhaps it was fate that it would be Evra to sound the rallying call after October's now infamous defeat to Sassuolo and then go on to net the strike that uncorked the champagne on the Bianconeri's Scudetto celebrations on Saturday evening.
