Leonardo Bonucci hailed his Juventus team-mates after they beat Sevilla to qualify for the Champions League knock-out stages on Tuesday evening.
“This was the first big crossroads of the season,” said the Italian defender after the game in Spain. “We struggled to find space in the second half because they shut up shop and made it tight, plus we made a few errors. Thankfully, my left foot helped us out.”
Bonucci was quick to stress that it was vital Juventus now switch their attentions back to Serie A, before winning their final Champions League group game to secure top spot.
“Now we need to get back to focusing on the league, because we have a tough match on Sunday. We have to beat Dinamo too – we can’t take anything for granted and as we’ve seen there are no easy games in the Champions League.”
