Five Juventus players were in international action last night and the main headline from a Bianconeri point-of-view was Brazil qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The tie to secure the Selecao's progress was a Bianconeri derby that had Danilo and Alex Sandro play the full 90 minutes in Sao Paulo as they went up against Juan Cuadrado's Colombia, with the Juventus number 11 also seeing out the full match. In a tense and tight game, the hosts emerged 1-0 winners, thanks to Lucas Paqueta's 72nd minute goal.
Back in Europe, Alvaro Morata's Spain overcame Greece by a goal to nil, as Pablo Sarabia's penalty was the difference in Athens, with Morata playing the opening 65 minutes. Elsewhere in Group B, Dejan Kulusevski's Sweden fell 2-0 to Georgia after a second half brace from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, with Kulusevski stepping onto the pitch in the 74th minute.
Today, there will be Bianconeri in action for Italy-Switzerland, Andorra-Poland, Uruguay-Argentina and USA-Mexico.
