Giorgio Chiellini rued the Bianconeri’s inability to put this evening’s game with Inter to bed but is already eager to put things right at the first time of asking in Naples on Sunday night.
Speaking after the 1-1 draw in Turin, the 30-year-old began: “We’re in good shape and deserved more for the way we performed in the first 60 minutes. We need to put certain mistakes right, take heed of the good things we produced and go and claim all three points in Naples.”
The defender says the team need to make the most of their dominance by converting their chances when they arise and claims they must learn from their mistakes in order to prevent dropping further points in a similar fashion.
“We must improve because we dominate for 45 to 60 minutes and deserve to win by two or three, then we ease off a bit too much and recently we’ve been punished by their first opportunity. It happened today and against Sampdoria.
“These are moments that we need to reflect on because winning is our aim. We’ve got all it takes to win the league and are masters of our own destiny, but we can’t drop points as we’ve done in our last two home games.”
