Another international signing has joined the Juventus Women set-up and she comes in the shape of Dalila Ippolito. Today, the 18-year-old, who will wear the No.5 jersey, put pen to paper to confirm her transfer to the club from Argentinian side UAI Urquiza.
The teenager becomes the first Argentine player to sign for the Bianconere, and she arrives having already played on the biggest international stage for women’s football: the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Ippolito formed part of Argentina’s squad in last year’s tournament, in which she featured in the 3-1 win over Uruguay, as the youngest player to play for Argentina in World Cup history.
Last season, the midfielder featured for UAI Urquiza on 13 occasions (including the Copa Libertadores, scoring two goals and grabbing the same number of assists. She will be looking to further grow and development alongside Juventus’ experienced midfield, in what will be her first adventure outside of her homeland.
Welcome, Dalila. We look forward to seeing you on the field!
