Juve emerged from a hard-fought derby with a point after a topsy-turvy game at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.

Federico Chiesa gave the Bianconeri an early lead but Antonio Sanabria's double turned the tables. Cristiano Ronaldo then restored parity before Rodrigo Bentancur was denied a late winner by the woodwork.

This is what Andrea Pirlo and Giorgio Chiellini had to say after the final whistle.

ANDREA PIRLO

“Unfortunately we keep making things hard for ourselves. We started off well and took the lead but then we let them back in it. We wanted to come out and play a different second half but we fell behind and the rest of the match was difficult after that.

“We're suffering these lapses in concentration a bit too often. We must do better and understand that we can't lower our guard even for a second. We've played lots of games so it's natural for a bit of fatigue to creep in but we can't let that happen.

“After we equalised we took control of the game again and hit the post so we did respond well, but when we're up against sides that sit in and defend it's hard to play through the middle - we have to channel moves down the wings. We need to be a bit patient, keep the ball moving and attack down the flanks.

“Obviously I'm not happy when we don't win and we're dropping lots of points. We have to work hard on occupying the space better and finding more options between the lines.”

GIORGIO CHIELLINI

“We made mistakes you can't afford to make at this level. It's a shame because when we were focused and in control of the game we kept them at bay and fashioned chances of our own. We had loads of chances but we're making too many mistakes this year. We have to stick together, keep our heads down and carry on working hard every day.

“We have another important match on Wednesday and it's one we need to win. We must push on, keep giving our all and try to secure our minimum target, which is qualifying for the Champions League. We know it's going to be a battle until the end of the season.”
