Juventus Women extended their winning run in the league by brushing aside Hellas Verona 5-0 on Sunday afternoon at Vinovo. Lina Hurtig scored a goal and grabbed two assists, while Girelli converted from the spot and Bonansea and Zamanian scored a goal each.

Having won all 11 games, Rita Guarino and her ladies were looking to extend their excellent run of form and they got off to the perfect start. The Bianconere needed just 13 minutes to open the scoring when Bonansea ran down the right side of the box and rolled the ball over to Hurtig, who was left unmarked in the box and tapped it over the line.

Cernoia floated in a free-kick into the box which Linda Sembrant nodded wide, before a second and third goal was added in the space of three minutes. Hurtig went from goalscorer to goal provider when she brilliantly burst into the box to tee up Sofie with her cross, leaving the Dane to push the ball over the line with ease. Next up on the scoresheet was Girelli, when she converted from the penalty spot to score her 13th goal in 12 games.

A fourth and final goal of the half came off the back of a second Hurtig assist, when she flicked back Cernoia’s corner with a header that fell to Bonansea, who easily converted it over the line.

Hurtig went looking for a hat-trick of assists when she floated a cross to Maria Alves at the back post, but it sailed beyond the Brazilian. The Brazilian tried to mirror a similar move towards the towering Swede, but the outcome ended up the same.

The Bianconere were denied of a another goal twice in back-to-back saves by Durante, who first denied Pedersen from point-blank range and then followed up with a second save on Maria Alves’ rebound!

The fifth and final goal arrived on the stroke of the 90th minute in excellent style when Zamanian, who was positioned on the edge of the D, curled in a fantastic effort into the roof of the net to wrap up a stunning victory!
