Another birthday in black and white, another birthday as a champion of Italy. Giorgio Chiellini, the man with nine consecutive championships, turns 36 today.
“Chiello” celebrates his special day by recharging his batteries ahead of next season, after having had to deal with a long-term injury in the season that just recently ended. Still, it did not prevent him from leaving an important impact on his ninth consecutive championship…
From his goal on the opening Serie A day in Parma, for example, but above all with his constant presence alongside his teammates, as a true leader, Chiellini truly impacted the team in both words and gestures, as was demonstrated by sharing the Scudetto Cup lift with Leonardo Bonucci, a companion in a thousand battles on the pitch, who wore the captain's armband this season.
