Happy birthday, Tek!

Wojciech Szczęsny turns 33 today.

It is the sixth birthday celebrated in our family for a goalkeeper we think so highly of for so many reasons. For his quality between the posts, which he puts on display in every game he plays. For his intelligence and sense of humour, which make him one of the most valuable elements of our squad. For his stature as a man - reliable, kind and charismatic.

A few days ago when he left the field in tears against Sporting, it created a moment of fear, fortunately short-lived, and made each of us realise just how much we care for Tek.

So today while we celebrate his birthday with him, we also wish him a speedy return to action.
