Last night was a very difficult night for the Azzurri. In Palermo, Italy played their play-off semi-final against North Macedonia to continue their journey towards the next World Cup in Qatar. The Macedonian goal in injury time proved decisive and the final whistle which followed shortly after evaporated Italy's chances of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup.
Moving across the pond, it was a different mood for Brazil (already qualified for Qatar 2022) and Colombia (in the running for a place in Qatar). A clearly 4-0 victory for Danilo's Brazil, who was on the pitch for the whole match, against Chile. A victory and clean sheet also for Juan Cuadrado's Colombia, who registered an assist for Los Cafeteros in their 3-0 win against Bolivia.
Tonight, Matías Soulé's Argentina are in action against Venezuela.
