The first set of international fixtures for our Bianconeri has taken place. So, let's waste no time in reflecting on how they fared with their respective nations.

THE AZZURRI

The mini-tournament in the United States began with a win for Luciano Spalletti’s Azzurri, with Italy winning 2-1 against Venezuela thanks to a Mateo Retegui brace. Three Juventus players started the game, with Federico Chiesa and Manuel Locatelli enjoying 65 minutes while Andrea Cambiaso played 74.

Italy are next in action on Sunday at 21:00 CET against Ecuador.

THE OTHER EUROPEANS

Flip Kostic and Serbia suffered a 4-0 defeat against Russia in Moscow, with Filip coming on at 3-0 down with around half an hour to play.

Wojciech Szczesny enjoyed more fortune with Poland in their European Championship qualifier, beating Estonia 5-1. Now, they advance to face Wales on Tuesday, 25 March, with a place in Germany this summer up for grabs.

OUT OF EUROPE

Weston McKennie and Timothy Weah were celebrating success in the CONCACAF Nations League semi-final, beating Jamaica 3-1 after extra time to advance to the final, where they will meet Mexico on Sunday.

Wes enjoyed the whole game on the pitch, while Tim started and got a solid 63 minutes under his belt.
