On Tuesday night in Cesena, Italy defeated Hungary 2-1 in the Nations League. Azzurri coach Roberto Mancini continued to experiment, fielding a young side. First half goals from Nicolò Barella and Lorenzo Pellegrini gave Italy a two goal cushion. Manuel Locatelli was brought on from the bench on 66 minutes, five minutes after Gianluca Mancini had slid the ball into his own net to reduce the advantage.

Italy saw out the remainder of the match to collect the three points that put them top of Group A3 before the match against England on Saturday.

WEDNESDAY'S FIXTURES

The Nations League continues today when Matthijs De Ligt's Netherlands travel to Cardiff to take on Wales, fresh from their recent World Cup qualification, Group A4.
