Mattia Caldara is living his first few weeks as a Bianconero in these days as he travels for his first pre-season tour with the squad and the player who impressed for two seasons with Atalanta before linking up with Juventus spoke today with the Sky Sport microphone:

WELCOME TO THE USA!

Caldara arrived with his teammates to New Jersey on Monday night and will train at Pingry School for the next week with a quick stop in Philadephia for Wednesday's match vs Bayern.

"The center is very big and everything is very beautiful," Caldara said. "It was a long journey. Yesterday, we had a little muscle activation in the hotel, but this morning we took the pitch."

SWITCHING PHASES DEFENSIVELY

Caldara has played at a very high level in recent seasons for Atalanta and moves from a back three to a back four at Juventus.

"Allegri has some very interesting concepts that I'm working on understanding as quickly as possible," said Caldara. "We've worked on some defensive movements and offside trap. After two yeras working in a back three, it's back to four and a bit different but I'll adapt quickly."

CR7

When Mattia returns to Turin with the squad in August, his teammates who participated in the later stages of the World Cup will join them, including Cristiano Ronaldo.

"The welcome he received was certainly appropriate for the player his is and for all he has shown in these years. Playing with him is an honor for me and I will try to learn as much as possible and take on his training habits. Having a physique like his at 33 is truly incredible."

THE UPCOMING MATCH VS BAYERN

Tomorrow in Philadelphia, Juventus will open the pre-season tour against Bayern Munich.

"It will be a very difficult match both from a physical point of view and also adjusting to the time zone. I believe we can prove we've already adapted and I want to show we are up to the task."
