On Sunday 15 January, Juventus Women host Sassuolo at Vinovo. A true classic of the women's game in Italy with five previous meetings in Serie A in Turin - and as many victories for the girls in the black and white stripes.

Let's take a walk down memory lane and recall these five successes.

Rosucci Juve Sassuolo

18 NOVEMBER 2017

Cecilia Salvai delivered the cross, Barbara Bonansea hit the shot - only to see it rebound off the frame of the goal.

This was how the first Juventus-Sassuolo meeting started and it looked as if it was going to go all wrong for the Bianconere. Instead, just before half an hour had elapsed, Martina Rosucci timed her run to perfection to give Juve the lead.

In the second half the match followed the same script. Again Bonansea hit woodwork. Sanni Frannsi then popped up to make sure of victory and seal a 2-0 win.

Cernoia

1 DECEMBER 2018

Valentina Cernoia was one of the four goalscorers the second time Juventus hosted Sassuolo. The midfielder grabbed goal number two after Cristiana Girelli had opened the scoring. Later Eniola Aluko and Benedetta Glionna added a goal each.

Worthy of note, all four goals arrived from the 57th to the 85th minute - a devestating four-goal salvo in under 30 minutes

Pedersen Juve Sassuolo

25 JANUARY 2020

Of all the matches against Sassuolo, that of January 2020 was the most even, at least in terms of the winning margin. Juve didn't struggle to open the scoring, however, with Girelli breaking the deadlock as early as the 10th minute.

In the second half, after an hour of play, Sofie Pedersen had a chance to celebrate following a header that made it 2-0. In the closing stages, Daniela Sabatino shortened the distance, but the three points were once again collected by Juventus.

Zamanian Juve Sassuolo

8 NOVEMBER 2020

The second meeting of 2020, played in November, followed the same pattern as the match of 2018. Four goals without reply in favour of the hosts - not only that, four goals scored by four different scorers.

This time it was Linda Sembrant, Arianna Caruso and Annahita Zamanian who joined Valentina Cernoia on the scoresheet - and once again all the goals arrived in the second half.

Boattin Juve Sassuolo

7 MAY 2022

A Fanta5stic day for everyone at Vinovo. The Bianconere defeated Sassuolo 3-1 to guarantee their fifth straight Serie A title. Bonansea and Girelli put the match on easy street in the first half.

After the break, Michela Cambiaghi pulled a goal back, but Lisa Boattin swiftly restored the two-goal cushion. Juve's lead was never again in doubt, which meant that at the final whistle the party could begin.
