Juventus proved too strong for 10-man Lecce when they claimed an impressive 4-0 Serie A win at Allianz Stadium on Friday evening. After a goalless first-half display, the Bianconeri proved unstoppable with goals from Dybala, Ronaldo, Higuain and de Ligt.

CHANCES, BUT NO GOALS

It took 16 minutes before someone to fire at goal and it was Lecce, when Manoscu forced Szczesny into making a save from close range. Four minute later, Rabiot fired in an effort that left watches on the edge of their seat, with a long-range effort that saw Gabriel pull off a fully stretched flying save. Lecce were then reduced to 10-men on the half hour when Lucioni was shown an immediate red for a last-man challenge on Bentancur. Despite this, they showed positive spirit and attempted a shot at goal by Tachtsidis, whose effort went just over the goal frame. The final effort of the opening half fell to the Bianconeri, when Ronaldo sent in a dangerous cross into the box: Bernardeschi got onto the end of it, unmarked, but he blasted it over goal.

LA JOYA TOP BIN!

After the break, Juve immediately went in search of an opening goal: Bonucci saw his threatening effort denied by Gabriel, before Dybala handed Juventus the lead with yet another sublime goal. Ronaldo fed the ball to him on the edge of the box, and he struck it with his left foot to see it curl into the top right corner.

RONALDO DOUBLES IT!

The Bianconeri were pilling on the pressure, and they soon doubled the lead just over the hour mark when Ronaldo was brought down in the box by Rossettini! The Portuguese stood up to take the spot-kick, and he made no mistake, for the second game in a row, by slicing home right down the middle to double Juventus’ lead. Ronaldo nearly got his second goal minutes later with a powerful downward header that was denied by Gabriel.

PIPITA & MATTHIJS!

Higuain was introduced into the game with just over 10 minutes to go, and he made an immediate impact with a right-footed effort that blasted just wide of goal. He didn’t have to wait long, though, before getting on the scoresheet when he blasted an excellent left-footed effort past Gabriel. It was one-way traffic and de Ligt then made it 4-0 when he got onto the end of a Douglas Costa cross at the back post to nod it into the back of the net and wrap up an impressive second-half display!
