Juventus Football Club will cooperate with a charity project "Football Planet", to provide opportunities for primary school students in remote areas of China to train and play football, thereby aiding the development of football in China.

"Football Planet" is a football public welfare project initiated by former footballer Zhao Lina, China Football Development Foundation and ByteDance CSR, which plans to work with 100 primary schools in remote areas of China over the next five years, providing children with opportunities for football training and competition.

Juventus has deep and close relationships with Chinese fans and Chinese football.  Dedicated social media platforms provide both information and entertainment for local Bianconeri fans, with numerous fan-viewing parties and other fan-centric activities organised in recent years following Juventus’ 2019 pre-season friendly in the country, strengthening the club’s ties with the Asian market.

Juventus also hopes to further give back to society and the football community in China through this charity project, creating sportsmanship and health awareness among children while simultaneously cultivating their dreams, stimulating their creativity and contributing to the globe’s biggest sport in China.

Through the use of its own official platforms in China, the Club will produce exclusive content surrounding the project, creating further awareness of the work being done. Juventus will also organise visits to the schools being aided, participate in the project’s activities, organise training colleges and friendly matches as well as provide instructor training of campus football through the coaches of the Juventus Youth Academies to further promote the development of football in China.

Project initiator Zhao Lina said, "Our original intention in launching the Planet Project is to allow more children who love football to have a ball to play. We hope that this cooperation with Juventus will allow more people to understand the Planet Project and jointly help rural children's football dreams."

Since its commencement in April, the Football Planet Project has built pitches for children in Guizhou and Yunnan, donated football materials to ten schools, organised football training for coaches and initiated campus football leagues in each county where it is based. Juventus looks forward to contributing to the project’s growing success in the coming years.
