The eighth and final matchday of the UEFA Champions League League Phase ended 0-0 in Monaco.

The Juventus Men's First Team qualifies for the play-offs, with Friday's draw determining their opponents in February's double-header.

THE MATCH REPORT

It was a quiet first half at the Stade Louis II, played at a slow pace and evenly balanced. After an early scare with a shot from Maghnes Akliouche, the Bianconeri responded immediately with Pierre Kalulu crossing for Weston McKennie, whose header went wide.

Mattia Perin was alert twice shortly after the half-hour mark: first on Vanderson's close-range right-footed shot and then on the full-back's long-range effort. In the final minutes of the half, Lois Openda had two chances, first narrowly missing the target and then, a few seconds later, seeing his shot saved. The half ended 0-0 after a hard-fought first 45 minutes with few real chances.

The second half began with a few changes for Juventus, who attempted to bring some fluidity to their passing game. The pace of the match remained slow and uneventful, with both teams battling it out in midfield. In the midst of a lull in the action, Kenan Yildiz tried to make his presence felt: first from Vasilije Adzic's pass, when he attempted a volley in the box without managing to make clean contact, then later with a move on the left, turning Openda's pass into a sort of shot-cross that the Monaco defence managed to clear.

In the final minutes, Edon Zhegrova also tried his luck from distance but failed to hit the target. In Monte Carlo, the result was a goalless draw, with the Bianconeri thus advancing to the playoffs of the competition.
