Remembering history is the only way to best understand the present - this is the principle behind Remembrance Days, especially today the International Day in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust.
Infusing today’s youth with the importance of understanding phenomena such as hatred and discrimination has always been one of the main objectives at Juventus. That is why today pupils from the first and fifth grades of J|College visited the ‘Widespread’ Museum of Resistance, Deportation, War, Rights and Freedom in Turin. An unconventional museum in that it is ‘an interpretation and documentation centre that is not limited to the war period but also extends to modern times, embracing themes such as human rights and freedom.’
A unique opportunity to remember, raise awareness and keep in mind that tragedies like the Holocaust are fragments of our identity and therefore must be present not only today but every day of the year.
