Juventus Women are set for a trip to Tuscany tomorrow evening to take on Fiorentina. Coach Isaac Guerrero previewed the Matchday 5 Serie A Women encounter against the Viola.
THE WIN IN AUSTRIA
“We can say that this team is a TEAM in every sense of the word. At a difficult moment, when results weren't coming, the players stepped up on an important stage and competed exceptionally well. We've always been brave on the ball, but we were lacking something in the physical battles, a little more determination when winning possession back. What's more, in Austria we fielded a very young side, with an average age of 24.6. This team has resilience, unity, mutual support and a positive dressing-room atmosphere. All of that makes it easier to overcome these challenging situations.”
POSITIVE ENERGY
“The girls are determined to build on these positive feelings. We know we have an important match ahead of us and a great opportunity to carry forward what we experienced and achieved in Vienna.”
LOOKING AHEAD TO FIORENTINA
“I try to focus mainly on ourselves. We know Fiorentina are a strong side, comfortable in possession and proactive in their approach. Beyond that, the important thing is to concentrate on ourselves. We're a very young team and we'll face Fiorentina with great determination. We know we're building something for both the present and the future, with a good mix of players who have been here for a long time and provide valuable support to the younger players and the new arrivals.”
