It’s confirmed: Juventus Women will come face to face against Olympic Lyon in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, following today’s Round of 32 draw.
The draw took place today at 12:00 CET at the UEFA Headquarters in Nyon, where the Bianconere were pitted alongside the seven-time Champions League winners. The fixtures are set to take place 9/10 December in Turin, and 15/16 December in Lyon.
Lyon, whose most recent UWCL title came this year at the hands of Wolfsburg, are the highest ranked women’s team in Europe, and are yet to have lost a fixture in the tournament since the 2017/18 season (23 wins, two draws in 25 matches).
Rita Guarino and her charges, however, are well acquainted with the French outfit, having already taken to the field against Jean-Luc Vasseur’s side in the Trophèe Veolia for a pre-season tournament in Lyon back in August. In that fixture, the French champions ran out 3-0 winners.
Official dates, venues and times are still to be confirmed.
