"I've never commented on the referee's performance before and I have no intention of doing so today. Looking at the match, we can say that Milan deserved to win it and we didn't. They were more compact as a team and used the ball better when they had it. We got ourselves stretched and found it hard going.

We're still in the running, though. We're doing the best we can but you can't shy away from the results and the league table is testament to that. We must keep on pushing and trying to obtain the most we can.
The main positive we can take today is the way we played after going a player down. We nearly equalised multiple times. I don't like to talk about bad luck in football. When you create lots of chances you have to score. It's just a shame we stood off a bit in the first half and made so many technical errors, especially after all the excellent work we did in the week.

It's understandable that people should look at Juventus differently because we've been winning for years but if you look at the women's game in Italy you can see how much it has grown. The sides at the top are all excellent teams and that's great to see, even though it obviously makes it harder for us. Our January transfers were geared towards maintaining sustainability and an excellent squad."
