With the top leagues still at a standstill for the World Cup, let's take stock of the situation of the Next Gen on loan around Italy.

Up until now, Koni De Winter has made eight appearances for Empoli, half of them as a starter. The defender born in 2002 has been a Juventus player since 2018, first in the youth team and then in the Under 23s, and has contributed to Empoli’s seventeen points, the result of four wins and five draws. Koni also played in Turin, in the match against the Bianconeri, which ended in a 4-0 triumph for Juve.

One point more in the standings are Monza. 16 players have featured in the club’s Serie A debut season, two of which are Juventini. Filippo Ranocchia, a 21-year-old midfielder at Juve since 2019, was at Vicenza on a one-season loan before moving to Monza. He has made seven appearances with the highlight being his splendid goal at San Siro in the match against Milan.

Also playing for Monza is Nicolò Rovella, a midfielder born in 2001 who joined Juve from Genoa in the summer of 2022 but who remained at the Genoese club for another year. After three matches in Serie A with the Bianconeri at the start of this campaign, Nicolò has since played 10 games with Monza, for a total of over 800 minutes playing time.

Unlike those in the top flight, the Juventus lads playing in the second division have continued their championship.

Five wins, seven draws, twenty-two points and a good mid-table position for Südtirol, which includes Hans Nicolussi Caviglia. Born in 2000, Hans featured throughout the Academy ranks all the way to his debut in the First Team. Hans has played 13 matches, almost 90% of them as a starter, and scored against Parma on 22 October.

Ten appearances and one assist for Alessandro Di Pardo at Cagliari. At Juve since 2017, Alessandro arrived in Sardinia last summer via Vicenza and Cosenza. With the Rossoblu he is contributing to a championship that sees them twelfth in the standings, with 19 points.

Same number of games, ten, and three assists for Gianluca Frabotta. Gianluca has enjoyed Under 23 and First Team experiences since 2019. After a spell at Verona, he arrived at Frosinone last summer. Two assists against Venezia on 14 October and one against Bari the following matchday have enriched his experience with the current leaders of Serie B.

From the region of Lazio to the Marche. With Ascoli, ninth in the standings with 21 points, there is Christopher Lungoyi, a Swiss forward of Congolese origin, who joined Juventus in 2021. He has collected 14 appearances and has scored one goal, against Parma, and supplied one assist, against Cagliari.

In the last episode we talked about Marco Olivieri's decisive goal against Genoa for Perugia. Olivieri has been in Umbria since January and has played 12 games this season. Arriving in Turin in 2017, he played for Juventus Primavera for two years. At the same time, from 2018, he began to take his first steps in Serie C, in the recently founded Under 23, now Next Gen. He also was called up to the First Team.

Also at Perugia, a side battling to pull away from the bottom of the standings, is Stefano Gori. The goalkeeper born in 1995 joined Juventus Under 23 in 2020. A shoulder injury hindered his experience at the Bianconeri. At Perugia since July he has turned out 15 times already this season.
