Juventus Women return to cup action tomorrow, March 4, away to Inter in the first leg of the semi-finals for what will be the eleventh encounter between the two teams in league and cup combined.

The Nerazzurre are making their second appearance in the last four of Coppa Italia after bowing out to city rivals Milan in season 2021/21.

Let's catch up on the current form of the Bianconere's next opponents.

INTER'S CUP FORM

Inter made it to the semif-finals after an epic encounter with Sampdoria over two legs in the last round. Despite taking a 3-0 lead both home and away, Inter were held to a 6-6 draw over 180 minutes.

The Nerazzure won the first leg 3-2 in Genoa to then lose 4-3 at home. With no goals in extra time the match went to a penalty shoot-out, which Inter won 5-4.

Considering a 1-1 draw with Parma and a 5-0 win over Cesena in the group stage, Inter have earned two wins, one draw and one defeat so far in the Coppa Italia, scoring 12 goals - one short of the club record in a single edition, 13 over six games in 2020/21.

At the other end, however, Inter have conceded seven goals in their last three cup matches, just one fewer than they had let in over their previous nine Coppa Italia outings.

Overall, Inter have won four of their last six matches in all competitions, as many victories as they had managed from their previous 11 games.

KEEP AN EYE ON

Tabitha Chawinga has scored 18 goals for Inter in season 2022/23, including two in Coppa Italia and another two in the league against Juventus. Her total is already the second highest for the Nerazzurre in a single season, after Gloria Marinelli's 28 goals in 2018/19, when Inter were still playing in Serie B.

From the quarter-finals of this Coppa Italia the Malawian is the only player with at least two goals scored and two assists in the competition.

Other than Chawinga, Elisa Polli is the second of the two players in double digits for Inter in the current season. The Italian born in 2000 has netter 10 times.

Tatiana Bonetti has scored two goals in this edition of the Coppa Italia and has not scored more in a single season of the tournament since 2018/19 when she netted six for Fiorentina, the last of which in the 2-1 final defeat to Juventus.
