WHAT TO SEE IN PARIS

A charming and romantic city, Paris has a lot to offer. Let's start with the symbolic attraction: the Eiffel Tower. An iconic place, not only for France but for the whole world. Born as a temporary structure on the occasion of the Universal Exposition of 1889, the tower is 312.28 metres high with visitors who can reach the top! Once you have visited the Eiffel Tower, you can continue on to many wonderful places. There is the Arc de Triomphe, located at the end of the Champs-Élysées, a monument built by Napoleon to celebrate the victory of the battle of Austerlitz.

Do not miss a visit to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, located on the hill of Montmartre: from here you must also make a stop to see the Notre-Dame Cathedral from the outside, one of the most famous Gothic buildings in the world. Unfortunately, a great fire seriously damaged it on 15 April 2019, and at this time it is not possible to visit the inside.

One day is not enough to visit Paris, it takes many more to admire all the beauties: because a trip to the Latin quarter is to be done, such as a visit to the Center Pompidou or the Hôtel des Invalides (where the tomb of Napoleon is ) or the Musée d'Orsay. But when it comes to museums, one cannot fail to go to the Louvre, the most visited museum in the world. It is located on the right bank, between the Seine and Rue de Rivoli. The collection includes nearly 400,000 objects and works of art.

Opened in 1972, it has a capacity of almost 48,000 spectators and is the home of Paris Saint Germain. Over the years it has hosted numerous international events: two editions of the European Championships (1984, including the final, and 2016), a World Cup (1998), two European Cup/Champions League finals (1974/1975 and 1980/1981), two Cup Winners' Cup finals (1977/1978 and 1994/1995) and a UEFA Cup final (1997/1998).
