After Wednesday’s victory over Napoli, Coach Andrea Pirlo made tomorrow’s objective very clear: continuity is necessary. This was his overall message when speaking to the media in a virtual press conference earlier today.

Here’s what he had to say:

PERFORMANCE VS NAPOLI

We lost a lot of points against teams who are lower than us in the standings, it was our flaw, but there are a lot of points up for grabs and we want to finish well. I was satisfied with the spirit, attitude and will shown on Wednesday, which we must maintain tomorrow too. We need to provide continuity: we have to face tomorrow with a ferocious desire. Morata interpreted the match very well against Napoli; he just needs to score a goal

TOMORROW’S GAME

Szczesny will play in goal, while Paulo Dybala is fine and ready, even if he may not play from the first minute. We have a duty to do well in all the remaining matches. Our objectives are always the same: Wednesday there was a great unity of purpose, and tomorrow it must be the same.. Kulusevski trained very well, he will probably start from the first minute against Genoa.

PLAYER UPDATES

Even Arthur and McKennie are fine and ready to play. Demiral on the other hand does not have any minutes in him yet, after he stopped not only for Covid. He needs more time to play from the start. It's right to have focused on Dragusin - he is a guy with great perspective. Kulusevski and Ramsey? They are fine. It may be an option that Cuadrado starts higher up tomorrow. Even Chiellini has given maximum availability, he will start from the beginning tomorrow.

ON CHIESA

I give tactical & technical advice to Chiesa; he is very good in the spaces & in one-on-one situations. He can still improve on the management of the ball . He is hungry and has a great desire to learn, it's a great thing.

DYBALA’S RETURN

We can enjoy the fact that we finally have Dybala available: he's a player who makes a difference. If I have the chance, I hope to be able to deploy Cristiano, Alvaro Morata and Dybala together.
