Coach Igor Tudor and Randal Kolo Muani spoke to the press after Juventus’ 1-1 draw against Lazio on Matchday 36 of the Serie A season.
IGOR TUDOR
“It was a good match, it hurts but we take the point: the boys gave everything, even the substitutes, given the injury problems. Let's move on. I feel sorry for [Pierre] Kalulu, we've had players sent off in two games now. I saw the images, the gesture was there but I don't know if he made contact with his face or not, in any case it showed some naivety. He's a decent guy, he's very sorry because he has great values. I have to congratulate [Federico] Gatti: he is coming back from a fracture, he has practically never trained with the team and we brought him in to play five, seven minutes. He gritted his teeth and went all in. I took two guys off who had come on as substitutes and apologised immediately, I don't like to do that but we needed him for his height and experience. It was a peculiar but right choice, I would do it again. Nico Gonzalez looked tired, a bit physically worn out. He's important for us. Chico [Conceicao] on the other hand had personality, I liked his performance a lot, he moved well. What would Juve be like with all our players available? It's a good question. These are moments of the season that change so much. I can't comment on what could happen if we had done the preparation in a certain way or if we had arrived at the run in of the season without these problems. The squad is strong, it has good values: with two or three additions, next year it can become top level. It already has quality”
RANDAL KOLO MUANI
“We have to keep working towards the next challenges, it was a difficult night, but we must not let ourselves get down and we have to move forward with determination. I didn't have a chance to talk to Kalulu, but the referee made his choice. We won't think about that incident anymore, the overall performance was still positive and now it's important to focus on the end of the season. I feel very comfortable here, I feel part of a real family, we'll see what the future holds, but I'm really happy to be at Juventus.”
