JOE MONTEMURRO

"Tonight we only had one result available, victory, but unfortunately it didn't come. This is football and this was the verdict on the pitch. There is regret, of course, as we exit the competition having lost only one game out of six. Unfortunately, however, the Champions League is a competition in which concentration must always be very high because as soon as you lower your attention your opponents hit you and that's what happened in the narrow defeat against Arsenal in London. We come out enriched by this European experience because we have faced very strong teams in really important stadiums. I'm proud of these girls. This must be our starting point."

CECILIA SALVAI

"Clearly we're not happy because we really wanted to get through the group stage, but we're still happy with tonight's performance which was certainly of a high level. It is clear that we still have to grow because in these games you have to be simply perfect. We mustn't forget, of course, that we had the reigning European champions in front of us, whom we congratulate for qualifying for the quarter-finals. Although our Champions League has ended here, we return home with the awareness of having come on, even if only by comparing this season with last. We played matches this season on an equal footing with our opponents, much more than last year. We didn't make it to the knockout stages, but we showed courage and personality in every match we played. We'll pick up from here."

PAULINE PEYRAUD MAGNIN

"We leave this stadium with a goalless draw against the reigning European champions which is by no means a bad result, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to go through. We are disappointed because we would have liked to have stayed in the Champions League. Were my saves decisive? I tried to do my best to keep the game in the balance until the end. Helping my teammates is my job and I work every day to continue to improve."
