“We need to start reading games better again. We got away with it against Salernitana but conceded at Venezia. Today we worked well as a unit both when defending and attacking but we didn't always use the ball well – we gave it away a few times.
“It's a good win, a deserved win, but now we must focus on Cagliari and not lower our guard. After Christmas we have two great months to look forward to but they're going to be very difficult.
“There are times in the game when we need to do better but I was pleased with our approach and the desire we showed today.”

“When we play the way we played tonight, when we put in the graft, the hard yards and show good technique, we produce good performances. Every win is important as we can't afford to lose any more ground on the teams above us. Our problem is doing it consistently. When we do, our individual quality comes to the fore. “It was a mature performance. We can improve our build-up play and our attacking moves but defensively we were excellent today.
“I like playing against strong strikers, like Arnautovic. We had a good old battle. We couldn't give him an inch and Leo and I did well.
“The Champions League spots? We need to focus on the next one against Cagliari, then we have to make sure we pick up more points in the second half of the season. We've dropped too many this season, especially against the 'smaller' teams.”
