The Juventus Men’s First Team are back on the road for Serie A Matchday 21, heading to Sardinia to take on Cagliari. Kick-off is fixed for Saturday evening at 20:45 CET.
The Bianconeri come into this weekend in a good run of form, and sit fourth in the table with 39 points from 20 games played.
Cagliari, for their part, occupy 16th place with 19 points from 20 matches.
Let’s get up to speed with the pre-match statistics ahead of Saturday.
Interesting Facts
- Juventus have won 47 Serie A matches against Cagliari, and the Sardinians have only lost more against Milan (48). The Biancoenri have also won 22 of the 28 league games against them since 2010, only managing more in that period against Udinese (23 of 32).
- Since Luciano Spalletti’s arrival as coach, the Bianconeri are averaging 2.2 points per game, up from 1.5 per game before his appointment.
- After the 3-0 against Sassuolo and the 5-0 against Cremonese, Juventus will be looking to win three straight league matches while keeping clean sheets for the first time since doing so between February and March of this year. They could also score at least three goals in three games on the bounce for the first time since May 2021.
- Kenan Yildiz has scored seven goals in 19 league outings this term, as many as he managed in 35 in 2024/25. Yildiz is also the most-fouled player in the final third in this Serie A season (15).
- Jonathan David has scored in back-to-back league games for the first time since March 2025, when he was still a Lille player - he hasn’t scored in three consecutive matches since March 2024. The Canadian has also taken part in four goals in his last four league appearances (two goals, two assists).
- Since the beginning of December, Weston McKennie has been involved in four Serie A goals for the Bianconeri (two goals, two assists), leaving him level with Kenan Yildiz and David as the side’s most productive player. He could score in back-to-back matches for the first time in Europe’s top-five leagues in what will be his 250th appearance in those competitions.
- Pierre Kalulu has played more minutes across all competitions than any other outfield Serie A player this season - 2,430, which is 100% of the minutes played by Juventus.

Opposition Focus
- Cagliari have 19 points from their first 20 games this season, which is their best return at this stage of the campaign in any of the last five seasons in the top flight.
- The Isolani have failed to score in two of their last three league matches (drawing one, losing two), and after their loss at Genoa last time out they could lose back-to-back matches without scoring a goal for the first time since December 2024 (then against Fiorentina and Atalanta).
- Gianluca Gaetano has had a direct hand in two goals in his last three Serie A games with one goal and one assist. He will come up against Luciano Spalletti on Saturday, under whom he made 10 appearances and scored one goal during their time at Napoli.
- Sebastiano Esposito’s last league goal came against Juventus in the first game between the two sides this season, and he is the Cagliari player to be involved in the most goals this season (five, from three goals and two assists). He has also had a hand in three goals in his last five home appearances.
- No Cagliari player has won more duels than Marco Palestra’s 21, and none have been fouled more often in the final third than his nine times. As well, across Europe’s top-five leagues, only Rayo Vallecano’s Andrei Ratiu (33) has completed more dribbles than his 31 (level with Brentford’s Michael Kayode).
