The Juventus Women’s First Team will turn their attention back to Serie A Women this Sunday, taking on Genoa in Biella after their European success over Atletico Madrid in midweek.

Off the back of a win at home to Parma last time out, the Grifone come into this weekend’s game in ninth place, with six points from their five games so far.

Kick-off in Biella is fixed for 18:00 CET on Sunday.

Interesting Facts

  • Genoa will become, after Sampdoria, the second side from Liguria that Juventus Women will have faced in Serie A. The Bianconere have won 24 of the 25 games they’ve played against Ligurian opposition in the top flight, losing once.
  • Juventus have won 30 of the 31 games they’ve played against newly-promoted sides in Serie A.
  • No team averages more of the ball possession than Juventus’ 63% in Serie A matches this season.
  • Genoa could become the 20th team against whom Cristiana Girelli has scored at least one Serie A goal as a Juventus player, and the 22nd against whom she has played as a Bianconera in the league.
  • Having scored last time out against Milan, Girelli could also score in back-to-back league matches for the first time since March-April of this year.
  • Seven of Michela Cambiaghi’s last nine Serie A goals have come at home, including a brace against Ternana in her last home outing. She hasn’t scored in consecutive home matches since doing so last February-March.
  • Of Serie A players yet to score a league goal this season, none have more shots than Barbara Bonansea (19) and Chiara Beccari (15), nor shots on target (six and five), nor touches in the oppositions’ area (38 and 34).
  • Beccari is the most-fouled player in Serie A this season (15, level with Valeria Pirone of Ternana).

Opposition Focus

  • Genoa have won two of their five Serie A matches so far this season, losing three. The last newly-promoted team to win three matches in their first six were Empoli in 2019/20.
  • The Rossoblu are one of two sides in this Serie A Women - along with fellow newcomers Ternana - to be without a single away point so far this season.
  • The Grifone have scored in each of their last nine league matches, including Serie A and Serie B.
  • Juventus are the only team against whom Caterina Bargi has scored more than one Serie A goal - one with Empoli in October 2017, the other with Sampdoria in April 2022. Having scored last time out against Parma, she will be looking to score in back-to-back Serie A matches for the first time.
  • Norma Cinotti is one of the two midfielders - along with Virginia Di Giammarino - to have engaged in the most duels in Serie A this season (56 apiece). Nobody has won more than her 30 (along with Pirone of Ternana).
