Juve put four past Parma at the Tardini and it was a performance that goes beyond the result. At the end of the match, there was plenty of satisfaction in the words of Pirlo, Buffon and Kulusevski. These are their statements:
ANDREA PIRLO
“Ronaldo was angry for having missed the penalty, but we had a few days to think about it and he showed how much he cares about scoring goals, even better when during open play. We weren't happy with Wednesday's result, but the performance was good. We had to get back the points we lost against Atalanta and we did it in the best way. We needed a team win and to score and we did it while playing good football. We are in a good moment, I like how we attack the opponents when they have the ball, we are growing, the right spirit is here, but we are only at the beginning and we will have to have this attitude in every match. McKennie? He is a great fighter and recovers many balls, but above all, he is very good at getting into the spaces. Morata? We are not surprised; we knew he is a great player and when he is well, he can do anything.”
GIANLUIGI BUFFON
“It was a match that we had to make our own in every way, now we have to win the next match at home and then the head-to-head matches will start. I also think that the response of the field in the big matches played so far has not always been a mirror of what has been seen on the pitch. Now it will be important for us to put together many convincing performances, showing off a good game, and then we can say that we are Andrea Pirlo's team. We will have some highs and lows - as is normal - but when we have the highs, we are good and beautiful to look at. I always try to convey something to my teammates, it's the only way I know to play football. Returning? When I come back here, I always have many memories.”
DEJAN KULUSEVSKI
“I was very happy to return to Parma, I love this stadium. When you play you have to have fun and we collaborate a lot with each other, it is important to look at the teammates around in order change positions to perform at their best. I really like playing like this, I want to improve further to further help the team; the coach gives me a lot of freedom and this makes me happy. The goal?
